Lincoln County is composed of small farming communities of approximately 11,000 residents. This area was named after then US President Abraham Lincoln. The town of Lincoln is an unincorporated community within the county that is located along the Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake. There are 5 people for every square mile of land out here which means that there is plenty of room to stretch.
The simple life of Lincoln can be traced to its roots as a mainly agricultural economy. As the second-largest producer of wheat, Lincoln County produces about 25M bushels every year. Located just northeast of Creston, the county’s largest city, Lincoln distinguishes itself by the beautiful view of mountains and waterways.
This mostly rural area is just an hour and a half from Spokane (Washington’s second largest city) to the east. In the study of the U.S. Census Bureau, it has an area of approximately 2,340 square miles which can be reached through passing through the principal highways such as the Interstate 90, U.S. Route 395 and Route 2. The average travel time for commuters is approximately 22.1 minutes. There is also easy access to outstanding health facilities through the Lincoln Hospital. Odessa Memorial Hospital is also another choice for health care needs.
Lincoln's premiere community venue is the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. The county has many other parks and recreational areas to offer residents a chance to commune with nature. There are also other notable places such as the Arlington Bay, Grand Coulee Grange and Robel Orchards where families and visitors can spend their day in natural surroundings. The Lincoln community offers its residents a peaceful and simple lifestyle.
